A Vision of Betrayal Turn Results 22

After about 30 minutes, a beer and some dinner, the gillmen that the party was expecting arrived. The gillman contingent consisted of only two Low Azlanti, a man and a woman. The male carried a delicately wrapped bundle of cloth while the woman acted as bodyguard.

The gillmen greeted the party and the man carrying the bundle introduced himself as Shoalo; the other, a muscular female gillman was named Ahrmisa. She remained silent and stoic. Shoalo sat at a table and placed his package before you. He offered the seats opposite him to Nester Rees and Jerry. Ahrmisa stood behind him during this process and eyed the rest of the party suspiciously.
Shoalo invited the party to place their item on the table for inspection and he offered his as well.

A Vision of Betrayal GM Turn Post 22

The sounds of a busy tavern echo off the wooden walls of this unusual building. Resting precariously over Escadar’s harbor, the Grindylow’s Goblet offers an unequaled view of the water. In the bar’s center, a thick glass aquarium presents a striking display. Within the tank, a coral statue of a goblin with the lower body of an octopus hosts a school of colorful fish that flit about the nooks and crannies of its tentacles.

The Grindylow’s Goblet is a busy tavern that offers entertainment and drink to those visiting Escadar. Thick wooden planks support the tavern floor as it stretches out into the harbor, offering a splendid vista of Escadar’s harbor. Wooden walls and doors make up the tavern’s construction, and several torches fill sconces that cast the tavern in normal illumination. At the tavern’s heart rests a 15-foot-by-15-foot aquarium crafted from alchemically strengthened glass and full of clear water. The bottom of the aquarium is also made of glass, and offers a view of the harbor waters, which are 10 feet below the glass bottom at the current tide.

Two human servers busily provide food and drink to the tavern’s half-dozen patrons, and a striking woman tends the bar.

Jerry agreed to the captain’s terms and paid Tanner his fee of 25 GP.

To start the next day, Fergus and Ronan drank their antiplagues and the cleric tended to their symptoms. Neither appeared to suffer any further effects. Korg was not as lucky. The sorcerer came down with the same muzzy-headed symptoms, taking 1 WIS damage, signifying that he too was infected .with the same disease.

Crazy Old Tanner, true to his word was ready to sail at the morning tide. The 24 mile trip was uneventful but took most of the day before the captain safely delivered the party to Escadar. It was around dinner time when the party arrived. Upon arrival, Nestor sends word to the Gillman embassy that the Pathfinders have arrived. He then directs the party to a waterside tavern called the Grindylow’s Goblet.

A Vision of Betrayal Turn Results 20

Ronan and Jerry went shopping to procure some healing supplies. The magus acquired 3 antiplague and a healer’s kit to treat himself and Fergus in the morning. The ninja got himself an antiplague as well; just in case.

Once the shopping was completed, the party decided to approach Crazy Old Tanner to see about passage to Escadar. The captain was a disheveled, fish-smelling, and wild-eyed man who constantly talked out the side of his mouth while blowing thick gouts of grey smoke from an aromatic pipe. He was fit to yelling at the sea, accusing it of being an unfaithful mistress and talking about how things were better when he was much younger.

His starting price for passage was 35 GP. Jerry, with some help from the rest of the party, was able to negotiate with the salty seaman and got the price down to 25 GP. When the captain was done negotiating he said, “25 gold is my final price. Take it or leave it. I sail with the morning tide.”

Time To Get The Game Moving Again.

I will be posting the turn 20 results and next turn tomorrow. We have until 9/30/13 to get this completed. This should be accomplished as long as everyone does their part.

We have an extention to complete

I have confirmed that this scenario will be retired on 8/14/13. There is an extension for online games. We must be completed by 9/30/13.

I do not believe that we will have any trouble completing the scenario by then. I appoligize for my lack of diligence on progressing the adventure as I have been fairly busy with work and preparing for Gen Con. That said, I will try to get in a few posts prior to Gen Con but that may not happen.
