DtBP: Firebrand’s Redoubt – Turn Results 43

Banacleez cast a Magic Missile spell at the farthest skeletal warrior. The three missiles slammed into the monster a delivered 13 force damage. The monster responded by charging forward and attacking Wahesh with its dwarven axe. The attack struck true and dealt 11 damage to the fighter. Wahesh attacked in return with both of his swords. The longsword missed but the short sword hit though it did not seem to do any damage.

Stabem moved into the room and tumbled past the advanced skeleton to engage with the next monster. Cando powered up his axe with arcane energy and took a mighty swing at the skeleton in front of him. The axe smashed into the undead for 10 damage as the attack was blunted by the monster’s bony nature.

The skeleton engaged with Stabem took a swing at the halfling but missed its target. Ro-Mahn moved into the room, tumbling past the advanced skeleton and maneuvered behind it. The ranger/rogue poked the monster with his rapier from behind. The weapon pierced through the monster’s armor but only managed to deal 4 damage.

The monster behind Ro-Mahn stepped to gain flanking and attacked. Its axe struck home and dealt 5 damage. Lady Emyralda tumbled out from behind Wahesh to attack the undead engaged with the fighter with her scimitar. The blow landed but bounced off dealing no damage.

The party gathered up the equipment and treasure and continued their investigation by heading south. The passage only went a short distance before opening into a larger chamber.

Statues depicting stern dwarven figures line this hall, separating 60 body-sized niches carved into the walls. A meticulous mosaic of a flame-enshrouded axe covers the floor at the room’s center. Heavy stone doors lead south, and two smaller doors nearly blend into the walls on each side of the main entrance. A short hallway leads deeper into the redoubt.

Five bodies dressed in the uniform of Davarn’s Guard lay on the floor of this room. Three animated skeletons dressed in the trappings of the Firebrand Legion patrol the hall.

What do you do next?

Two doors remain unexplored in the western corridor. The passage immediately continues to the south outside of the double doors. There is an unexplored staircase off of the trophy room.
