  1. Noc grumbles to himself. To be ignored by a hag like this his jaw drops in annoyance... No, he should keep his mouth shut and try to make things go smoothly for the Society. An idea crosses his mind.

He shrugs softly and steps back from the conversation. Casually walking away, he tries to recall where in the house he might have seen a bottle with something to drink left in it.

  2. "There, there Auntie, some folk think they know best, what's best for everyone. Whether it's their business or not. Mostly you get it from those pesky paladins, all holier than thou, judgmental and the what not. You're ok."

  3. Is Noc trying to sneak away or just walk away?

  4. Just walk. If I need a roll on this (I have a 5 coming up, so I'm going to fail any roll) I'd say my intentions are closer to Bluff than sneak. More like 'Grumpy dwarf in an awkward situation where he feels he isn't being helpful' though. :)

  5. "Easy thar, Auntie. Sure an our friend is ovarrly suspicious. I'm thinking it's time we took our leave, ja."

I think Jerry needs to watch this place for a day. I'm highly curious as to a) where she's sending these kids off to and b) who she's getting bribes from.

  6. Putting a hand on Jerry's shoulder, Kord says "Wait a moment Jerry, I think we need to make something clear to Auntie"...Korg does his best to look intimidating, makes no move to leave, and says "Auntie, while I will not judge your methods, your results are another matter entirely. The Pathfinders wanted to ensure a good result from their charity, and we were tasked with making that evaluation. Using our not-insignificant abilities, we will make judgement of those results... is there anything further you would like to add, before we take leave and file our report? Failure to divulge important information would be... unfortunate." Korg smiles a humorless, toothy Orcish grin and waits for her answer, arms folded.

  8. If I understood, we were asked to complete all of these tasks in a day, I'm not sure it will be smiled upon to only complete one, if that. Thoughts?

  9. Brad is correct. You have a day to complete your task list. You have already spent a few hours on the current one.

You have delivered the package and you have learned that Auntie Baltwin is a drinker and that there is stashed medicine from three other charities around the house.

Do you plan to continue investigating this stituation or do you plan to move on? To complete this task you need to return to the Temple of the Shining Star and report your findings to Ollysta Zadrian.

  10. As Noc starts to wander off, "Where do you think you are going!?! This is my house and I will not accept unsolicited snooping." She stares until the dwarf takes a seat again. If he does not, she will begin to shout loudly and will surely bring unwanted attention.

I response to Korg, "I told you I drink. It is just so hard. It seems that I need it just to get through the day. The children do not suffer. They blossom and mend under my care. If this is a crime I will do what I can to make it right but who will help me? How will I walk this path alone?"

  11. I feel like we've gotten everything we can with the limited time we have. We played nice, and were offered tea but not much info. We played hardball, she resisted. We weren't sent here to take her down, just to evaluate. I vote we move on. Or as Noc says:

"This place smells funny, and the liquor is hit pretty hard. I say we move on and wish this woman the best of luck with her house full of children."

  12. In response to being scolded, Noc sits back down with a thud, and grumbles his statement from above.

  13. I am done. I am not going to have some lady yell at me for telling the truth.

She drinks, she has help from multiple sources.

We turn over the result and we should move on.

If the old hag wants to hide something and be deceitful. She can live with the consequences. To be honest, I am ready to get out of this place.

    ...

Might want to ask one of the children on the way out if he / she is treated nicely and if they like the place. This might sway my decision but not sure at this point.
