  1. I guess Ronan's job is to find healing and get healed.

  2. We're in a podunk, Ronan. I suggest you buy some antiplague and tough it out with me on the boat ride.
Fergus will buy 3 antiplague and a healer's kit. He'll use the kit to boost his skill roll--

Ha, scratch that. Fergus has exactly 1 gp. Can I use prestige to buy a total of 150 gold or do I have to use prestige to buy one thing at a time? Healer's kits and antiplague are both 50gp items.

    1. You can only use prestige to buy a single item once per scenario. Worse than that, to need to be in a large population or spend extra PP to get the item you want. (I think that costs 5 more PP.)

  3. Fergus,

I have to double check but I think I actually have enough gold to buy the items requested to be honest.

I think we don't want to let this fester to long.

Getter done is what I am thinking.

  4. If you wanna buy the stuff and let me use it im all good with that. Just remember to keep the remainder on your sheet.

  5. @Dave/Matt F - Please let me know what you are planning to buy so that it can get recorded on your chronicle.

@ All - What are you doing about securing transport? You have identified three likely candidates.

    1. My goal is to get Ronan and Fergus healed. What do we need to do / buy.

I am thinking we should either go with the Crazy guy or the human chick.

I am leaning at booking passage with the crazy guy.

    2. Antiplague gives you a +5 alchemical bonus to your fort save. Healer's Kit grants a +2 bonus to your Heal check. You can use this to aid your Heal check for Treat Disease. A successful, this will add a +4 competence bonus to the fort save. (That would be +9 total to the save.)

Each of these items cost 50 gp. Antiplague has one use. Healler's kit has 10 uses.

After the disease is cured, you can then recover the Wisdom damage. That will take Lesser Restoration or rest. Making a Heal check for Long Term Care will speed the recovery process.

    3. I put in a reply earlier which did not seem to take. Let me try again.

You can buy antiplague and a healer's kit. Both cost 50 GP. The antiplague grants +5 alchemical bonus to your fort save. The Healer's Kit grants a +2 bonus to the Heal check for Treat Disease. If successful, that adds a +4 competence bonus to your fort save. Combined, that is a +9 to your fort save.

The antiplague are one shot items. Healer's kit has 10 uses.

After the disease is cured, you will need either Lesser Restoration or time to heal the Wisdom damage. A Heal check for Long Term Care would speed that process.

I also need a consensus on which captain you will approach. So far I see two votes for Crazy Old Tanner and one vote for Small Otti.

    4. 4th try at this comment.

You can buy antiplague and a healer's kit for 50 GP each. With successful rolls, this will grant +9 to the fort save. Antiplague has one use. Healer's Kit has 10 uses.

After the disease is cured, healing the Wisdom damage requires Lesser Restoration or time.

  6. I vote we go with Otti, and have a grand meal with him before we head out.

  7. I vote the crazy guy, it lessens the chance of getting sold out and he doesn't hate our group before we even meet like the female will

  8. I need a consensus on which captain that you plan to approach. So far I have seen two votes for the Crazy Old Tanner and one vote for Small Otti.

  9. Still need a consensus on which capatin to approach. So far it seems to be two votes for Crazy Old Tanner and one vote for Small Otti.

  11. @ Matt F - You can purchase antiplague and a healer's kit for 50 gp each. If you make the Heal check, these items combines will provide a +9 bonus to the fort save. Antiplague has one use. Healer's kit has 10 uses.

Once the disease is cured, you need Lesser Restoration or time to heal the Wisdom damage.

    1. I have 826 gold on my chronicle sheets. The money is no big deal. I take care of it. So I guess it is 150 gold total. I will wait the time for the Wisdom I guess.

    2. So you are buying 2 antiplague and one healer's kit?

      Delete
  12. If that is what I need then yes.

Of if my internet search was right. 3rd level Cleric casting Lessor Restoration would cost 60 gold.

Would paying the 120 get us both fixed with out the 2 anti plague and one healer's kit. For a savings of 30 gold.

Ultimately I do what I need to get fixed, buying what I need.

    1. Your problem is that you are in a small settlement. Only 1st level spell casters are available. To have that spell cast, you would need to be in a larger settlement. The Lesser Restoration would work to heal the ability damage but not cure the disease. That must be accomplished first.

Some diseases, like poisons, require consecutive successful saves to cure. You might require more that one antiplague per victim. It is also possible that other party members may be infected but have not yet started to show signs.

    2. Jerry counts his pennies, and buys an antiplague, just in case.
