Ro-Mahn, freshly returned to consciousness, grabbed his
rapier and stabbed at the Duergar
Commander from the ground. The giant dwarf, distracted by Stabem behind
him, did not see the attack coming. The rapier punctured the artery near his
groin and dealt 31 damage. The commander toppled to the ground in a heap.
Wahesh stepped forward and attacked the remaining dark dwarf with both his
longsword and short sword. Each landed and dealt 7 damage each. The foe fell
with a scream. Cando looked around for someone to hit but the battle was over.
Barnacleez hopped down from the bar and used his wand of cure light wounds to heal Ro-Mahn 9 damage. Lady Emyralda channeled positive energy to heal both Wahesh and Ro-Mahn for an additional 8 damage. Stabem closed the door and cleaned off his sword.

Collectively,
the party started to look for valuables.
A search of the
three bodies revealed the following items of value:
- 4 potions
- 4 Alchemist’s fire
- 2 suits of banded mail
- 2 heavy crossbow.
- 2 MW dwarven waraxe
- MW breastplate
- MW Heavy steel shield
- magic warhammer
- magic cloak
- key ring
- 2 heavy brass rings
- 138 gp
A locked chest was found behind the bar. The key ring taken from
the commander’s body had a key to the lock. The contents of the chest included 120
pp, 453 gp, six potions, and five cut amethysts.
Scattered among the packs in the room were a suit of masterwork
full plate, an adamantine spiked chain and an ornate longsword carved from onyx.
The longsword is an art piece but can be wielded as a club.
In the commander’s pocket, a folder letter was discovered (see above).
