In Service to Lore GM Turn Post 2

Upon Arriving at the Temple of the Shining Star, you are immediately directed to Ollysta Zadrian. As she notices your arrival, she strides forward, addressing the group in a strong voice.
“Thank the light of Sarenrae you have arrived! I knew Ambrus would come through for us in the Silver Crusade. I desperately need you to bring medicine to an orphanage and let me know if the headmistress, Gilga Baltwin, is deserving of our charity. Since our quest began, the needy have clamored for our aid, and I suspect some are abusing our generosity. It may sound cruel, but there are plenty of dishonest people out in the world eager for easy gold.
“Do you know of the Silver Crusade? After discovering so many factions splintered the Society, a number of us banded together to proliferate the cause of charity and kindness using the Society’s resources. As it is said, ‘The Dawn brings new light’ and I’ve made it my life’s work to use our recent darkness to bring a new light to the world and to the Pathfinder Society.
“I apologize for straying off point. Will you bring this parcel of medicine to Auntie Baltwin’s Home for Recovery in the Eastgate district?”
What do you do?

  1. Korg would like to discretely Detect Magic, and see if the package is in any way magical.

"Certainly we can delivery the parcel... but what sort of abuse have you been seeing, ma'am? is there something we should be on the watch for? Or are you referring to the general scoundrels of the city that would steal medicines from orphans? I was an orphan once, myself... it would shame me to not help others in that predicament."

  2. "What Korg is sayin' is we're getting the impression whoever we're delivering this package to makes important people uncomfortable. We'd like to know why if ye don't mind."

(Noc means well, but he can be a bit brash)

I'm recommending a joint Diplomacy roll. No idea who has the highest bonus.

Excuse me Miss, splintered? I was thinking we just worked for the Society. I am sure all kinds of scoundrels and thieves want to make money any way they can... With your knowledge and wisdom, and since you been very generous in the past with people... What in your mind would raise a flag that this medicine would not be used in the proper way or for the proper purpose.

Also is there anything / person we need to be careful about in the "Eastgate district"?

  6. "I have no specific concerns. I am not sure if Gilga Baltwin is honest or not, but I hope this delivery made by Pathfinder agents will confirm whether the orphanage is operating on the up and up. Please be observant and report back to me any evidence that Baltwin isn’t worthy of the Silver Crusade’s aid."

  7. Eastgate is largely a residential area, with most of its residents working in other sections of the city. Often residents of Eastgate must walk for 2 or more hours to get to and from their places of business, but the lower crime rate and cheaper housing prices make the travel worthwhile for many of them. Some larger employers actually hire
elephants to carry their employees to work, and there are always numerous rickshaws ready to run employees who are late to their destination for just a few copper pieces.

If you wish to asks around about Gilga Baltwin and the orphanage you can do so with Diplomacy and/or Knowledge: Local skill checks once you are in Eastgate.
