Map Key:

The stairs start in W10 and end in V19. The rise is 30 feet.
The fortress gate is in R19 and S18.
Orange-tan squares are the brown substance from pots (V8-V14, U13-U18, T18).
Arrows pointing down are rope. It is a 25’ climb from U17 to V17 or T21 to S20

  1. Barnacleez will cast mage armor on himself (if he hasn't already) and start climbing the rope.

  2. Wahesh will move to V20, bow out, covering the others, hoping to catch a sign of the invisible opponent and put an arrow in them.

  3. Move over to Wahesh if he is still hurt and blat to heal him. Moving up the rope if I need to do so.

    1. The only injuries are nonlethal wounds and besides yourself, the injured are all at the top of the stairs.

    2. Well I am ok with getting to the top of the stairs when possible.
      I just didn't want anyone to fall due to non-lethal damage (Pass out).

  4. It will take a few rounds for the characters on the ground to reach the top and there are only so many "safe" spots to stand. What are the characters at the top planning to do to allow the rest up?

    If I can get an idea of the general plan, I may be able to go out of initiative and move the story forward without having several turns of "the characters climb the rope" as player posts.

  5. Cando will draw a dart and watch for anything to present itself as a target... waiting for his friends to come up and join, or the door to open.

  6. I need to hang around until someone can hit me with a healing wand. I'm about to drop from nonlethal. I will hide (stealth: 11) and look out for bad guys: Perception 24

    1. While you are waiting, Ro-Mahn has a wand of Cure Light Wounds with 3 charges. He has UMD at +6.

      Cando also has a wand with one charge left. He has CLW on his class list and can use the wands without a roll.

  7. So I have heard from everyone but Steve so far.

    I understand:
    1) you want to climb to the top
    2) the topside folks need healing

    The issues are:
    1) the time it will take folks to climb (3 rounds each for Barnacleez, Stabem and Lady Emyralda/ 2 rounds for Wahesh assuming checks are successful)
    2) there are only 3 "safe" spots near the gate and there are 6 party members.
    3) the gate is barred from the other side. It will require someone to climb over and remove the bar or battering down the gate.

    I can predict that Lou B'Goo will move into Ro-Mahn's square to escape the mold on his turn. As he is Tiny, he can share the square.
    If Lady Emyralda climbs first, she can occupy the safe square and channel to heal herself, Ro-Mahn, Cando and Lou B'Goo. Someone will need to move over and/or through the gate to allow others to gain the landing.

    Please tell me how you want to accomplish this.

  8. I will climb the gate and look around if no one else does. If I take any more damage I'll just become terrain and free up a square. Everybody wins!
