The smell of stale beer and whiskey hang in the air of this
room. A large wooden bar, complete with taps and a mirrored backsplash, runs
along the far curved wall of this room. Tables, chairs, and barstools are
scattered with use, while dirty glasses and empty bottles litter the sticky
floors and flat surfaces.
Five gray-skinned dwarves occupy this room. One sits at a
table covered with papers and a smoking pipe. Two of them stand nervously by
the seated one while the remaining two lean against the bar and playfully taunt
the two. The room is filled with a faint cloud of tobacco smoke.
Startled by the party’s sudden appearance, the dwarves begin
to reach for their arms.
Roll initiative. Begin Combat Rounds 1 and 2. Starting
positions are displayed on the combat map.
You have surprised the dwarves. You may take a single Move
or Standard Action in the surprise round. After that you may take a normal
action during your initiative. Please provide actions for both rounds.
Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action
Response - Turn Post Template. If you are planning to use a specific skill,
please list the skill and the associated roll(s) along with your 5 d20 rolls.

ReplyDeleteSURPRISE! Cando charges to C5, attacks the baddie at B4 - normal swing, Arcane Strike.
ReplyDeleteAttack roll: 4 +2(charge) +9(2H normal attack) = 15
Damage: Wishful thinking +1(AS) +6 = Whatever
REGULAR TURN:
Initiative 14 +6 = 20
Action - I want to attack twice if possible, and 5ft step if possible to gain or provide flanking, either before or after my attack depending on which makes more sense. I do not want to give the enemy any flanking options against me, short of making them acrobatically reach those spaces. I am attacking normally in the opening round, and trying to ascertain how heavily armored they are; if they do not appear to be especially geared, I will most likely switch to Power Attacks next round.
Attack roll 1: 10 +7(dual) = 17 + other mods
Attack roll 2: 5 +7(dual) = 12 + other mods
Damage 1: 8 +1(AS) +4 = 13
Damage 2: 7 +2 = 9
More rolls: 8,3,11,5,13
The dwarf in B2 is wearing a breastplate and has a heavy steel shield and a warhammer. The ones in A3 and B4 are wearing banded mail and are armed with heavy crossbows and dwarven waraxes. The ones in D4 and E3 are wearing chainmail and are armed with heavy crossbows and warhammers.
DeleteThe party can attempt Knowledge (local) checks to try to identify the dwarves.
ReplyDeleteinit 8+8=16
ReplyDeletesurprise round move up 20', delay if necessary to have space.
regular round, cast bulls strength and have Lou G'Boo deliver it to one of the fighting types by touch (Ro-Mahn, Cando, Wahesh, or Stabem, depending on who is in hand to hand that she can reach. (she is tiny, with speed 30').
and Barnacleez will move into the room to be ready to cast something next round
16, 18, 7, 3, 13
p.s. just a reminder i cast mage armor on myself before listening at the door.
Move to D7 this round. Figure out if anyone gets hurt and move that way. Or look for a spot to get in and attack depending on how this round goes.
