There was a debate between the party members but the
majority thought that seeking out the sally port was a better plan than walking
through the damaged and ajar front doors. Ro-Mahn and Stabem were for pressing
ahead immediately while the remainder of the party felt that finding a
different way inside might be more prudent.
After about 30 minutes of travel, and about another 30
minutes of searching, the party was able to locate the secret entrance to the
redoubt. The information provided by the townsfolk and Erna proved helpful in
locating the entrance.
Within the passage, the party discovered two dead Davarn
outpost guards. Lady Emyralda determined that the cause of death was bleeding due
to wounds inflicted by slashing and bludgeoning weapons. Each guard was armed
with a masterwork dwarven waraxe. An everburning torch lay near the bodies.
The passage ended at a secret door. The sounds of movement
and talking could be heard from the other side.
