In Service of Lore GM Turn Post 15

Perched on the end of a long pier fifteen feet above the water, the warehouse appears to struggle against its own roof, threatening to sag into the bay below. No light shines from the building’s windows and only the movement of gulls and pelicans stirs the scene.
The pier this pelican warehouse sits on stretches 100 feet from the boardwalk and the docks proper, and stands 15 feet above the water. The planks on the pier are sturdy but weathered. A few local fishermen and some kids sit scattered along the pier casting nets or bobbing lines into the waters below.
The building looks abandoned and in disrepair. The windows are dark and dirty and provide no view into the structure’s interior. A small boat bobs in the water below, tethered to the pier by a stout, salt-crusted rope.

  1. Noc is feeling the pain from his earlier tussle with the imp, and waits to follow Jerry to the door. Before moving, he makes Perception and Sense motive checks to get a feel for the other people on the boardwalk with the group, and looks for people who may be hiding in the boat.

    Perception: [18] + 8 = 26

    Sense Motive: [4] + 3 = 7

  2. Korg strolls confidently to the front of the group, walking towards the door and talking to the rest of the group loud enough to be overheard...

"I sincerely hope no-one has disturbed my employer's belongings here; but my magics will soon tell me if that is true..." followed by some elaborate, over-done arm motions and incantations, all culminating in ... Detect Magic, which he will focus on the people on the pier, firstly... and if nothing shows, to the door of the warehouse.... I am attempting to look intimidating as I do this, to perhaps convince the kids and fisherpeople to get out of my way....

  3. Ronan thinks to himself "What a drama queen".

I would rather just walk up and pop the door one at a time.

I personally would like to walk over on the way and ask the Fisherman how the fish are biting.
