Upon examining the wizard, the first detail discovered is that she was a gillman too. A search of her body, revealed several magic items (a potion, a scroll, a wand and a cloak), a gem, some money and a letter. The letter was handwritten and addressed her superior in the Aspis Consortium. The contents outlined the gillmen’s plans for tricking the Pathfinders and trading a fake artifact for the real thing, It was written in the past tense, as if she planned to send it immediately after the con was completed.
The other two gillmen did not have anything of interest or value.
The gillmen’s letter also revealed that the Aspis Consortium’s plan never involved stopping naval transport of the relic. The party may return to Absalom by boat without worry.
On the journey home, Fergus treats himself, Ronan and Korg for their sickness. The cleric and magus recovered the next day. The sorcerer suffered the effects for 4 days before the symptoms cleared. This process consumed 8 of the 10 uses of Ronan’s healer’s kit.
Upon the party’s return to Absalom, Venture-Captain Dreng thanked you for your efforts and apologized for sending you on a fool’s errand, but commended you for uncovering the ruse and preventing the Society’s enemies from gaining control of a true Azlanti artifact.
