I have not updated the combat map.
Spellcraft rolls can be made to identify the spear and
shield.
What do you do next? There is a door to the north, double
doors to the west, a hallway and double doors to the south and the stairs
leading up.
Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action
Response - Turn Post Template. If you are planning to use a specific skill,
please list the skill and the associated roll(s) along with your 5 d20 rolls.

Do we know who Karexin the Mad is? (Did I forget?)
ReplyDeleteSuggest we check out the single door at the north.
This is not something you have come across before. The party may make a Knowledge (history) or Knowledge (local) check to recall knowledge regarding the name.
Delete"Excuse me Mr. Jonohex sir, I believe you are speaking of Karexin the Visionary."
DeleteKS: History 13+3=16
spellcraft 20+7=success, and 1+7+fail
and I'm ok exploring the door also.
extra d20 rolls: 3, 6, 12, 14
Mad ... Visionary ..., you are not sure either way.
DeleteThe spear is a +1 weapon.
Q: are we to collect items for Mr. Totek, or just hold the building till he or his agents get them? Do we know what these objects are?
ReplyDeleteThat was a note that the dark dwarf commander had on his person. That was not intended for you (unless it was a very strange delivery method). So no, you do not know what the objects in question are.
DeleteWahesh will try for local knowledge - Maybe I *DO* know who Karexin the Mad Visionary is! 18+3=21
DeleteFor that matter, do we know who Commander Neurvagan or Zohir Totek are? Rolls are, 9+3=12 and 16+3=19. If needed.
After seeing the name on the display case and recently reading the letter, Wahesh remembers that Audalot Karexin was afey necromancer, whom Delbera Axebringer and her adventuring companions made their name defeating. Zohir Totek was the apprentice to Karexin.
DeleteCommander Neurvagan is not a name he had heard before today.
"Are there any apprentices who learn from where their masters' go horribly wrong?" wonders Wahesh. "Hmm...when our business here is done, let's make sure that Totek doesn't have one, or at least that (s)he's an accountant and not a sorcerer."
ReplyDelete"If none object, I think I can make good use of this bow... and the spear would give me a magic weapon to wield." Cando makes sure thats Ok with his comrades before picking the two items up...
ReplyDelete"Let me see the name on that again? Perhaps in my bardic studies I've come across it..." Knowledge history or local (?)roll 14 +7 = 21
I have noted that Cando is now carrying the +1 spear and the MW composite longbow (+4 STR).
DeleteCando also recalls the stories of the necromancer Audalot Karexin and his apprentice Zohir Totek. He however has not heard of Commander Neurvagan.
