Those affected by the Song of Discord effect, please tell me Odd or Even. It will determine if you get to act normally of attack a companion.

Barnacleez – Mage Armor (+4 AC for 4 hours)
Cando - Bull’s Strength (+4 STR for 2 minutes, 2 rounds)

Song of Discord – Affected characters have a 50% chance to attack the nearest target each round. (Roll to determine each creature’s behavior every round at the beginning of its turn.) A creature that does not attack its nearest neighbor is free to act normally for that round. Creatures forced to attack their fellows employ all methods at their disposal, choosing their deadliest spells and most advantageous combat tactics.

    1. He is no expert but this sure seems like a haunt to you. It is a similar ghostly tableau to what you have experienced recently.

      A Knowledge (history) or (local) check might prove enlightening.

    3. Both Barnacleez and Ro-Mahn recognize the scene as being an important battle from the Firebrand Legion's history. This particular battle pitted them against human brigands.

    1. Cando too recognizes the battle being played out before you. Similar to the previous haunts, this appears to be memorable incident from Delbera's life.

      Further Cando recognizes this as some type of a haunt. What he knows of haunts and what Lady Emyralda has stated before, haunts can be damaged by applications of positive energy and potentially defeated. They can also sometimes be defeated by interacting with the haunt, playing along with the situation presented.

  6. Barnacleez will draw his wand of cure light wounds in case he gets an opportunity to poke the haunt.

    1. The area of the haunt is the stage. If you plan to utilize your wand, that is where the it need be applied.

      By the way, Lou G'Boo made his save vs. the haunt. He is also considered the closest target if you are forced to attack.

  7. Lady Emyralda will channel Positive Energy to hurt the haunt. Maybe later consecrate the ground so he/she can be laid down to completely rest for eternity.
