Whoever made that dungeoneering roll needs to figure how to beat its DR or we'll have to run from this. 15 DR makes most of us useless.
ReplyDeleteIt has hardness 8, not DR. It is made of stone.
DeleteOK good. I had the impression that I didnt do any damage at all with 15
DeleteMatty F - I need Lady E to vacate her square so the rogues can get the dual flank on
ReplyDeleteReady/Delay for Lady E to vacate her square.
ReplyDeleteStep to E7 to flank with Stabem.
To hit: 20!
Confirm: 2 (sad trombone)
Damage: 8
Flank damage: 9
Other: 11 1 16 3 11
Stabem will also need to move to set up the flank.
Deletemove to B7
ReplyDelete7,+9 Total:16 to hit?
14damage if it hits
2,17,11,10,18
Ick. Ok, Keith, check my math and my strategy here. In light of this critter's DR, Wahesh will attack with longsword only, two-handed, using the Power Attack feat so he can do more damage in a single attack. (It says -2/+4, is that correct?)
ReplyDeleteTo Hit: 16+10=26 -2 for PA = 24
Damage: 4+5+4 = 13
Rolls: 7, 11, 20, 1, 5
Yes, your reasoning and math are correct.
DeleteCando shuffles a little further around the construct to get a better angle and some flanking; calling out the creature's special defenses and whatever particular vulnerabilities he can recall...?
ReplyDeleteAlso taking a single power-attack swing, with Arcane Striking engaged!
Attack roll: 15 -2(PA) +2(BS) +2(F) +9 = 26
Damage: 6 +6 +2(BS) +6(PA) +1(AS) = 21 damage
More ROlls? 1,6,11,3,8
5ft step to B7, sorry wasn't clear
DeleteStabem will step there before you act to get/provide flanking with Ro-Mahn. (Looks like you will be fine without the bonus.)
DeleteLooking to hear from Bruce and Matt F.
ReplyDeleteWell considering the only thing this little halfling can hurt this monster with is a fireball. I am going to retreat so I can heal.
ReplyDeleteWithdrawl from combat. Move to F3 for now.
Roll(5d20)+0:
10,9,14,17,6,+0
Total:56
Lady Emyralda recognizes this as a haunt. The ghostly images of Delbra and the wounded half-orc are still present.
DeleteHaunts are normally damaged by positive energy due to their undead nature. Sometimes other things have an effect on or damage them.
Even if destroyed, Haunts will come back after some period of time unless the underlying cause of the Haunt is dealt with allowing the spirit(s) to rest.
Barnacleez will move to B3 and cast Bulls Strength upon Lou G'Boo for her to deliver on Cando from B5.
