Gallows of Madness: A Foul Breed - GM Turn Post 37

The rusty front doors of this large, dingy warehouse are slightly ajar, as if someone forgot to close them entirely. Sprawled across the door and the southern side of the building are thick, disgusting, purplish-black strands that pulse with malevolence.

What do you do now? Starting positions are displayed on the combat map.

Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action Response - Turn Post Template. If you are planning to use a specific skill, please list the skill and the associated roll(s) along with your 5 d20 rolls.

  1. I am guessing that is demonbile?

Use the non magical methods for removing it first blat if I need to do that. I think we want to see what we can see on the inside before going in.

Check for traps and detect magic along the way.

  2. "What in the hells," Ro-Mahn asks, pointing at the purply stuff, "is THAT? Kill it with fire? Acid? Holy power of our diminutive priestess?"

Wait for a knowledge roll from our learned types. Hack the stuff with cold iron, if that's what's needed. Otherwise creep cautiously towards the door.

  4. So wait, the big double doors are slightly ajar? What about the single door directly in front of us?

    1. The Door at I4 is ajar. The double doors at M12-M13 are closed but also have purple growth. The western walls (I3-I6 and N7-N18)) and southern wall (I6-L6) all show some signs of Demon Bile.

  5. Keeping an eye out for oncoming trouble, rooftops, etc., while the scanner darklies check for magic and traps (:

Are we thinking door 14 first since it's teasingly ajar?

  7. Cando will stay right next to or in front of the magic scanning, as a shield, weapon drawn... "more foul demon magics, from the look of it."

Will go to whatever door they want to scan/open first
