Before the rogues dealt with the trap, Lady Emyralda offered
to heal Stabem. Cando waved off the cleric and used two charges of his wand of
Cure Light Wounds to heal the halfling instead.
Ro-Mahn determined that the trap would have been triggered when
someone tried to open the door. The statues’ wings would have unfurled, and sliced
anyone standing in front of the door. Stabem concurred with his companion’s
assessment. Barnacleez held his breath and refused to blink until the trap was
handled. Ro-Mahn went to work and disabled the trap.
Stabem took his turn on the door’s old, rusted lock. The
rogue managed to unlock the portal with minimal effort. The halfling opened
the door to reveal the interior of the crypt.
