Ro-Mahn and Stabem searched the tomb while the rest of the
party stood by outside. Barnacleez moved to the doorway to watch and lend
assistance if necessary.
The coffins on the dais proved to be empty. Most of the
coffins set into the walls had occupants but contained nothing remarkable.
One of the other coffins contained the bones of an adolescent
boy. The corpse was still clutching an old journal, whose dedication read “to
Luca.” Moisture has rendered the journal nearly illegible. Careful study (3d6
hours) or a successful linguistics check and time (3d6x10 minutes) can reveal
some of its contents.
The coffin also contains a palm-sized golden disk with a
winged eye carved onto it. The disk is worth 100 gp.
