Gallows of Madness: A Foul Breed - GM Turn Post 40

In the interest in saving time, I am moving to the next encounter. I assume that you will want to do some pre-encounter actions such as healing, drinking potions, redistributing gear, etc.. Please note any such actions in this turn post as well as what you plan to do next.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basic warehouse supplies, such as ropes, hammers, crowbars, and cargo nets, hang from the northern wall of this room. Several crates stand against the western wall. Doors stand against the east and south walls. A pulsating mass of purplish-black sludge lies along the floor near the southern wall between the two doors, and long filaments anchor the substance to the walls and ceiling. A large, strange egg sac lies at the center of the slime, with tiny legs visibly scrabbling beneath its surface. Three other nearby egg sacs have already burst.

What do you do?

Starting positions are displayed on the combat map.

Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action Response - Turn Post Template. If you are planning to use a specific skill, please list the skill and the associated roll(s) along with your 5 d20 rolls.

  2. By my count, we still have 4 vials of alchemist fire? Correct? Pass one to Cando and Wahesh.
"Let's burst in and burn out that nest before it hatches, eh chaps?"

Is it possible to check H4 for traps without opening the door? If not, nevermind. If so: 25 ( can do no better).

    4. @Dave - You cannot check for traps inside the warehouse without opening the door.

@Dave - Steve has the two Alchemist's Fire from Gellion's house. I believe that you purchased two from the alchemist.

@Joe - What are you throwing Alchemist's Fire at? At the egg sack? Where are you standing when you throw it?

  5. Our plan is to burst in and cover that egg pile with alchemist fire.

  6. I'm *assuming* that we'll pop in to H4, throw, targeting the egg sac, then pop right back out. I don't see a need to watch what happens when we can wait safely outside. Yah?

    1. Sweet summer child.

We have to move in to the building if we want to throw. We cant all cluster at the doorway. Moving in is a move action, and throwing is a standard/attack action. Once you move and attack, you are done for the round. Assuming everything goes to plan and we send that pack of demon-spiders back to hell... why would we leave? Assuming something Goes Wrong, then we're in initiative and the fight will start inside.

    2. "Sweet summer child", where did that come from? I've never heard that phrase from you or anyone ever.

  8. "I will move past the sacs and the bile, towards the far doorway (to D5 in one move I think?) and then ready to attack anything that comes in from there, or whatever survives the dousing you give it..." Can I put the alchemist fire I was given into a belt pouch for faster-than-backpack access? Want to keep my double-axe in hand for now...
