The party took the apprentices to the Temple of Erastil. It
was a slow procession of the walking wounded. The trussed up and unconscious
Gellion was carried over Cando’s shoulder.
A visibly relieved Ildris Ruvarra met the group as they were
shown to the infirmary. Gellion was restrained and eventually regained
consciousness. The youth did not recognize his family or any of his friends. He
continued to rave about demon worms, the Mother and his hunger. When food was
presented, Gellion refused to eat and insisted that “only Mother can feed me!”
Most people he treated indifferently but he clearly showed hatred toward the
party, especially Lady Emyralda.
The party shared their knowledge of the Demon’s Bile with Ildris
Ruvarra and the priest began a course of treatment accordingly. “The boy must
have ingested some of the Demon’s Bile. He has been infected and the disease
has a hold on his mind. If we can shake loose that hold, the boy should
recover.”
