The Mayor thanked the party again for its service and for
explaining the nature of the Demon’s Bile and its likely influence on Gellion. “You
have given me much to consider. When the time comes, I will speak on the boy’s
behalf and seek leniency. For now, it is best to let them all rest and heal.”
Gellion returned to his old self over the course of a few
days of treatment. He was utterly ashamed of his actions and fell into deep
remorse. He did not remember much of what he did while under the influence of
the Demon’s Bile. He remembered a desperate urge to ingest the bile, but after
that, he only had recollections of disturbing dreams and an obsession with
“bringing the demon worms home.”
When asked about what he did with Nixa Volsetti, Gellion had
no memory of the event. Based upon what the Pathfinders told him, he suggested
that they speak to the Mayor about recent nearby goblin sightings.
