Gallows of Madness: A Foul Breed – Turn Results 16

The bird continued in a strong, excited voice. Its words sounded like “Yellow-Foot! Get Yellow-Foot!” to the party. Barnacleez activated Speak with Animals and tried to calm the bird and get more details. "Calm down, I believe we are looking for your master Nolaria and her friends. What news do you have?"

At the gnome’s words, the bird cocked its head to the side and began to jump up and down on the headstone. “Yellow-Foot attacked her! The man-child, Yellow-Foot, took her away! I do not know where she is. I must stay here. The master will return. Here is where I saw her last. It is where she saw me last. Yellow-Foot! Get Yellow-Foot!” Further interrogation of the raven yielded only the same frantic message and clues.

While the party lingered at the site, the bird continued to dance a squawk its message urgently.

Investigation of the items near the headstone revealed them to be a cold iron morningstar, a wand and a pouch with two vials of liquid. Ro-Mahn handed the morningstar to Wahesh and said, "Take this, brother. May it serve you well." Barnacleez turned his attention to the wand and the vials and attempted to identify them.

Lady Emyralda checked the area for further signs of the Demon Bile. No traces remained after her display of holy power. Wahesh thanked the cleric for the healing during combat. The fighter wrapped his remaining wounds as he said, “Much obliged, Lady Emyralda. I fear I'm not quite as agile as I'd thought.” Cando and Stabem stood on the ready in case danger revealed its head once more.

After some intense study, touching the objects to his forehead and tongue, shaking of the objects and various body parts, and what appeared to be some personal grooming, Barnacleez announced his findings. Holding up the wand the gnome proclaimed, “This is a wand with the Paladin spell Bless Weapon. It has 10 charges remaining. Its name is Sir Stephen.” He tucked the wand in his belt and then held up the two vials. “These may look like potions but they deceive.” He continued, looking to his right hand, “This one is named Wilma and she is an Elixir of Hiding.” Looking to his left hand, “This one is named Betty and she is an Elixir of Vision.”
