Ro-Mahn moved to the aid of Barnacleez, stabbing at the
large bug with his rapier. The attack found its mark and skewered the beetle.
Wahesh stepped forward engaging the beetles behind. The stash from his
longsword found its mark; killing another beetle. Barnacleez staggered backward
allowing the martial party members to do their work. The gnome cast a Mage
Armor spell upon himself. Lady Emyralda stepped back and targeted the remaining
bug with a Fire Bolt. The bolt struck true but the fire seemed to wash
harmlessly off like water. Stabem moved forward, flanking the remaining beetle
with Wahesh. The rogue stabbed with his rapier and struck a killing blow.
Cando, weapons ready, looked around expectantly but not further threat
presented itself. “Looks like that was all of them,” announced the half-orc.
After the battle Ro-Mahn examines the found sap more closely. It is a masterwork weapon.
ReplyDeleteEven in death the spots on the beetles continue to glow, shedding a soft, torch-like light. Wahesh recognizes that this light comes from glands within each beetle. The glands shed light n a 10-foot radius and will continue to glow for up to several days before fading completely. The color of the light is normally a soft green-yellow. The light shed by these glands is a yellow-orange.
